Touchstone International Growth Fund Sub-Advised by: Apex Capital Management*

Objective

The Fund seeks to achieve long-term capital growth.

Investment Style

chart
  • Invests primarily in issuers located in developed markets
  • Uses an approach that combines 'top-down' secular- and macro-economic trend analysis with 'bottom-up' security selection
  • The 'top-down' view seeks to provide a framework for 'bottom-up' research by identifying sectors, industries and companies that may benefit from the sustainability of the observed trends
  • Fundamental 'bottom-up' research is applied to identify individual companies that exhibit earnings growth potential and may benefit from the sustainability of observed secular- and macro-economic trends
  • Typically invests in more established companies that are recognized as 'established growth' companies which generally provide more stability and consistency in volatile markets as its core investments
  • Also invests in companies that are in the earlier stages of their growth cycle that are known as 'emerging growth' companies which typically exhibit more aggressive growth characteristics and may experience a significant positive transformation or a favorable catalyst impacting their long-term earnings potential
The Fund invests in equities which are subject to market volatility and loss. The Fund invests in foreign securities, including depositary receipts, such as ADRs, GDRs and EDRs, which carry the associated risks of economic and political instability, market liquidity, currency volatility and differences in accounting standards. The Fund invests in emerging markets securities which are more likely to experience turmoil or rapid changes in market or economic conditions than developed countries. The Fund invests in stocks of large-cap companies which may be unable to respond quickly to new competitive challenges. The Fund invests in stocks of small- and mid-cap companies, which may be subject to more erratic market movements than stocks of larger, more established companies. The Fund invests in growth stocks which may be more volatile than investing in other stocks and may underperform when value investing is in favor. The Fund invests in emerging growth companies which typically have less ability to withstand any changes to their business prospects, may involve greater risk than is customarily associated with established companies and may have heightened liquidity risk and exposure to price movements. Current and future portfolio holdings are subject to risk. The advisor engages the sub-advisor to manage the Fund's portfolio; the sub-advisor's judgment may impact the Fund's performance.
